Change of equipment

Slight back track... Again. The SLR camera that we were going to use, after trial and error we realized that it wouldn't be the best option after-all. The memory on this device is very poor allowing us to record only 2 minutes at a time without having to stop, upload and delete. Our school is cross campus and the campus we had to book the camera out and the campus we have to record on are different and therefore it would of been very awkward to film when we needed to. We are now going to be recording with the Sony handycam as originally stated.

Change of equipment

Initially me and my team member were going to film our product on a sony handycam. We used this piece of technology last year but noticed some quite evident flaws. The sound recognition on this device was not very advanced and resulted in unclear sound production. This year we have been fortunate enough to be allowed access to a Nikon D3100 SLR camera with recording features.

This is the Nikon D3100 and it allows crisp image clarity and excellent video recording in general. There were certain issues that arose and we thought this may not be an option that we'd be able to use. However the video footage is compatible on imovie and the tripods that we already have also fit into this camera. We are going to commence our filming next week as this week it was raining outside and we did not have the big memory card in which we needed to film it. I'm very excited to start using this piece of technology and the overall better results it will provide us with. Watch this space!
